I'm Tessa a Certified Play Therapy UK (PTUK) Play Therapist, a Creative Arts Counsellor for Adolescents and Young People, an M-MAT Attachment Therapist and Therapeutic Life Story The. I love my job and feel privileged to be able to work with children, young people and their families/carers in this way. In 2020 I was diagnosed with adult ADHD and I feel my neurodiverse brain plus my experience of growing up knowing I was different helps me to understand certain situations and responses. This plus the fact I had 3 children within 2 years and 9 months helps me to offer a level of understanding and empathy whilst being non-judgmental.
I have experience of working with Looked-After and neuro-diverse children and adolescents plus children who have a chronic illnesses and children experiencing illness within their families plus children who have experienced mild to extreme trauma.
I enjoy working with parents and children to explore issues and hopefully help build more harmonious, relaxing and happy family environments.
