About
I offer short-term counselling, where we can work through more immediate and specific problems and longer-term psychotherapy for more intricate and deeper exploration. Whatever you have experienced, my aim is to help you move forward and benefit from the way you want to live your life. I understand how the impact of trauma on our lives creates a block in how we think and behave; where our past can overshadow or impede our view of our present life. With grief & loss, I recognise the parallel process of coping with our daily lives whilst managing a roller coaster of emotions and feelings that is both challenging and exhausting.
With over 12 years experience, I work with adults, young people and couples. My specialism is working with young adults; students and staff in Higher Education and Education; trauma, dissociation, mental health issues; loss and grief; life-limiting illness, complex health issues; anxiety, self-esteem; relationship difficulties, life challenges and changes.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, it is important to me to provide a safe and confidential environment for you to talk freely. My approach is to explore all you are experiencing so it makes more sense. Having greater clarity can help you to manage and cope more confidently, whilst reassuring your thoughts so you can express your feelings more clearly.
