Hello and welcome. I'm Tayba, an integrative counsellor, working primarily from a trauma-informed and relational perspective. I tend to employ several other approaches based on what your need is and what is right for you, such as an embodied approach through Mizan therapy. I work with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, faith and cultural conflict, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, divorce, self-harm and bullying. The list is not exhaustive but should give you an idea of the range of issues I am able to help and support you with.
I am particularly experienced in helping individuals with issues such as domestic/sexual abuse, anxiety and difficult relationships. I am also aware of the cultural and language difficulties therefore am able to provide counselling in Urdu/Mirpuri. I specialise in faith, culture and identity, facilitating an Islamically informed approach where requested.
When delivering a therapeutic service, I believe in autonomy and respect whereby my client is at the centre of the process.
