About
I am a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, with a decade of experience within the NHS, including CAMHS, and inpatient services at Great Ormond Street Hospital. I trained to doctoral level at the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust. I am able to work with young people up to age 25, presenting with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety or panic, self harm, struggles with school and learning, friendships, family relationships, or bereavement, trauma, separation anxieties, low self-esteem, anger and emotional regulation difficulties, disordered eating, or questions about gender and sexuality.
I offer a range of interventions, including single session assessment or consultation, short-term focussed treatments, or long-term psychotherapy. My approach is patient-led; some children and young people may be ready to talk about their difficulties; others may need longer to establish trust and may prefer to communicate through art or play.
I welcome a brief, free initial phone conversation to explore whether Child Psychotherapy may be a suitable treatment for a child or young person, to discuss the difficulties, and answer any questions you may have. We may then arrange an initial session. I work with parents to develop and agree a treatment plan and offer regular reviews to discuss progress.
