There are many reasons for seeking out therapy, although we often associate counselling with trauma, loss or coming to terms with difficult events or emotions. Sometimes we may feel 'stuck', replaying events in our mind or even in our relationships. By exploring our story in a safe, confidential space, we can unpick what's holding us back, process, heal and move towards acceptance. At times we may experience a general feeling of dissatisfaction we don't understand. Life isn't so bad so we 'shouldn't' feel this way, should we? We twist ourselves out of shape to live up to the ideals of others. We lose touch with our authentic self.

In life we can often encounter difficult times that might feel unbearable; even a real sense of struggle in getting through them. The loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, an illness, a traumatic experience, a struggle in our own sense of identity and self-esteem, plus many more life changing experiences. These are all changes that can deeply impact our lives, and are reasons for which deciding to seek counselling support is a very courageous choice to make. Often the process in seeking a counsellor can be a really overwhelming experience, as talking about our own feelings and emotions can be distressing and painful.

I work with individuals and couples who appear to function really well on the surface, yet internally feel lost, burnt-out and lonely. I help highlight the deeper patterns and attachment needs driving persistent behaviour cycles.
Perhaps it's caught in the same conflicts in relationships - one pursues while the other withdraws, leaving feelings of rejection and more like roommates than lovers. I make space for what’s happening beneath the surface, so that connection and trust feel possible again. You'll learn how to set safe boundaries, rebuild trust and communication, and be yourself more fully, either alone or in relationships.

Modern life in a big city like London can be exciting but also unsettling at times. It is easy to sometimes feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, alone and at loss of where to start. Counselling can help in times of uncertainty. By exploring your thoughts and feelings from both past and present, links can be made to increase your understanding and thereby helping you moving forward. Increased self knowledge and insight can be crucial in forming close and authentic relationships with others, often bringing higher self esteem as a result. Counselling can be a good support and give you hope when you are going through a difficult time.

You might look like you've got it all together — success, drive, ambition — but inside, you're wrestling with anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling like an imposter. You're likely hard on yourself, aiming for perfection, often delaying tasks because they feel too daunting, finding it hard to switch off at night, or constantly trying to meet others' expectations at the expense of your own well-being. Despite all this, you're looking for a way to make your inner life as rewarding and fulfilling as your outer achievements suggest. You want to break free from the cycle of worry and self-criticism to find peace.

I work as a psychodynamic-trained, integrative therapist, drawing on trauma-informed care, body-informed and creative approaches, and CBT where it's useful. At the centre of my approach is a belief in your own strength and capacity for self-discovery. I see my role as creating the conditions for curiosity, so that you can better understand yourself, in mind and body, and find your own way forward. I meet each person where they are, tailoring the work to individual needs and preferences. Compassion, connection to your values, and a grounded, mindful presence are central to how I practise.

Psychological support is about investing in you. Life can be chaotic, intense, confusing, and we can be left feeling disconnected from ourselves, our lives, and the people around us. Sometimes we just need some space to stop and think. Psychological support is also about developing a deeper understanding of yourself - who you are, what you need, what matters to you. For others, it's about building on existing skills - how to get more out of relationships, improving communication, being more assertive, boosting your sleep and performance, learning to be the best version of yourself.
