I am HCPC-registered in clinical, counselling, health and occupational psychology. Supervisor, providing services beginning from eclectic CBT interventions (ACT, DBT or ST), the most effective and intuitive psychological framework.

The world facing our children and young people today is an extremely complicated one. Dealing with an unpredictable, and at times, chaotic environment, can test our mental and physical systems. The seeds of worry can be sown in a myriad of ways but nearly always ends up with the young person internalising their problems, which then manifest in increasingly problematic ways such as OCD, Tics, Self-Harming, and body image issues. Underlying all of these symptoms is a powerfully negative view of themselves which, if unchecked, can become overwhelming.

We all go through times when some additional support could be useful. Whether a specific issue has led you here today, or a wish to explore difficulties in your early life and their impacting on you today, I might be the right person to help. I have extensive experience of working in NHS and charity settings as well as abroad. Aside from my private practice I currently work as Principal Psychologist / Clinical Lead in an NHS service. I have worked with a wide range of difficulties and have most experience in working with complex trauma, interpersonal difficulties, mood management, and autism spectrum conditions.

When you think of starting therapy, you might be at a pivotal stage in your life where you are repeatedly facing a wall that you want to break through. Understanding what might be going on for you is the first step before you begin.

Life can be overwhelming: loneliness, divorce, grief, parenting or work challenges, even natural transitions can feel isolating and daunting to navigate alone. I offer a safe, confidential space to identify and work through what is troubling you. You can expect to explore unresolved issues and gain greater understanding of yourself and your patterns of relating. I am interested in the roles we take within families, couples and work. Prior to re-training, I had a career in law and finance, so am familiar with high-pressure environments, stress and the search for a healthy life balance.

Starting therapy is the first step in getting to know yourself a bit more so the changes you wish in your life can take place. There can be many reasons why you might be seeking therapy: from either a particular event or a long-standing difficulty or because you are interested in your personal growth. In any case, I strive to provide you with a safe and confidential space where your concerns can be explored at your own pace. I aim to help you discover, with compassion, more about yourself and foster your growth of self-awareness and authenticity so positive choices can be made.

Does your child or loved one challenge you? Not in the ways that others might think... Somehow their behaviour is just... different! But in ways that only you understand. Perhaps your loved one runs away, doesn't listen, spits, shouts, masks or has frequent "meltdowns". Or perhaps you suspect your loved one has a condition like Autism or ADHD- maybe they were recently diagnosed. No matter what is underlying your loved one's challenging behaviour, I want to help you reduce the behaviours so that your loved-one can achieve their full potential!

I offer EMDR and EMDR Intensives, CBT and Couples Counselling therapy and the aim is to help you to regain a sense of wellbeing and enjoyment in your life. During the initial assessment we will work together to understand your main problems, what is keeping you 'stuck' and then agree on an individualised treatment plan to help you move forward with clear treatment goals. CBT is an effective treatment that can help you in the here and now and EMDR is useful for getting to the root of the problem. I find that both work well, in different ways to bring about an improvement in emotional and physical health.

There are a lot of profiles to scroll through on these directories, so I’d suggest not overthinking it—just start calling people. That’s the best way to get a sense of whether you can work with a therapist. It’s easy to get caught up researching their modalities or scanning blurbs for keywords, but unless you reach out, you won’t know if they’re the right fit. Your therapist will be someone you confide in every week. Ask yourself: can I confide in this person? And if you think you can, the next question is: does the therapist think they can help me to know myself better, and are they willing to work with me to overcome these issues.

I provide individual and couple counselling on intimate, family and work relationships. Anxiety, low mood and addiction almost always have a relational dimension.
