I am an experience therapist based in Alsager, Cheshire East, and as you are reading this, the probability is that you are looking for a therapist.
I offer a confidential place where you can talk about yourself and your life, which may be confusing, you may feel uncomfortable, angry or unhappy. A place, where you are free to work through issues and difficulties, e.g, relationship issues, illness, stress and anxiety, depression, or addiction. I offer an opportunity to think and talk about yourself and your concerns, in a way that is different from talking with a loved one or a friend.
I see the quality of the engagement, between the client and counsellor, as the main therapeutic agent so I offer the first half hour of the first session free, for us to see how we can best work together.
Understanding it is not always easy to talk about problems & to express your feelings, I aim to bring warmth & empathy enabling you to share those things that bother you. My philosophy is based upon that of Carl Rogers, pioneer of the Person-Centred Approach, who believes in the actualising tendency, the innate capacity of every individual to grow & develop.
