I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist based in Wokingham. My approach is psychoanalytic - this kind of therapy is based on the idea that what we experience as a difficulty in the present may point to an unconscious problem with roots in the past. You may find you are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, self-destructive behaviour or difficulties in relationships and want to have a better understanding of what underpins these issues.
Being in therapy means you have a space in which to explore unhelpful patterns. In the context of the relationship with the therapist, unresolved feelings and conflicts can be experienced in a safe and contained way, allowing the possibility to work things through and discover new solutions.
Deciding who to reach out to can be a daunting task. In an initial consultation, I would be able to help you think about what you are looking for.
