Hi, my name is Susie and I am glad you are here. I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience working in different settings. People reach out to me during periods of stress, uncertainty, or when life feels overwhelming. They may navigate a range of intense emotions, such as anger, anxiety, worry, sadness or loneliness, or they may feel cut off or detached - or it may be a mix of these. I am committed to providing a safe space for us to explore and make sense of your experiences together, and to equip you with strategies to make meaningful and effective changes that empower you to live life your way.
I am trained in several different evidence-based therapy approaches (ACT, CFT, CBT, DBT, EMDR), and I often include active strategies (e.g. movement) in my work. We will work together to develop an individual, holistic treatment programme based on your needs, values and goals. I often work with young adults, parents, and with people who are neurodivergent.
I know that starting therapy takes courage, and I am here to support you every step of the way. My clients say that they value working with me because I am compassionate and open, with a dry sense of humour, which allows them to explore their difficutlies in a space free from pressure and judgement.
