Hi! How are you? My name is Susanne and I'm an integrative counsellor. I believe we are creatures of habit – this helps us navigate life. Sometimes, though, life throws profound changes at us: bereavement, illness, low mood and anxiety or relationship problems. If this happens, familiar patterns can guide us – or they may get in the way of finding out what lies beneath our distress. I can help you see what's happening in your life and make sense of it. And change, if you want to.
My belief is that if we know our selves, and what makes us the way we are, change is possible. Together, we might be in the here and now and observe what comes up in the therapy room. We might explore the past and uncover patterns of attachment to understand how they shaped your present.
I appreciate that reaching out for counselling can be a big, frightening step. But: It can be worth it! Therapy has supported me through difficult patches my life – I know first-hand how being in a safe space with an attentive, non-judgmental therapist can help establish a sense of clarity and hope.
