I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Cambridge, working with individuals and couples who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, self doubt, work-related stress or recurring difficulties in relationships. Many people who come to therapy are managing demanding professional or academic lives while feeling privately distressed or stuck.
At times of loss, change or crisis, difficulties that were previously manageable become harder to contain. Sometimes trying to change things yourself or engage short term support is not enough to bring about lasting changes and help you find internal peace and fulfilment.
My approach is psychoanalytic which means working with the underlying roots of difficulties rather than only surface symptoms. Therapy offers a regular, confidential space to think carefully about emotional patterns, relationships and personal inner experience. Over time, this can lead to more lasting change in how you relate to yourself and to others.
