Hello. I'm Rayna and I am a highly experienced UKCP registered child and adult psychotherapist and supervisor, with extensive experience in schools and in private practice.. I see children, adolescents and adults both face to face and online. In these uncertain times of coronavirus, you or someone in your family may be experiencing a multitude of emotions and challenges. I am an authentic psychotherapist, rather than a blank screen. I work in a way that is best suited to my patients’ needs. I am their biggest cheer leader and guide although I don’t give any advice to my clients as such I do steer them in the ‘right’ direction. I can also be challenging with clients when required and do not shy away from addressing difference or the elephant in the room as it were. I try my best to be a good enough therapist one who much like my patients is also learning from their mistakes. These will invariably be made in order for the work to grow and develop. I work a lot with self compassion through mindfulness.

Making the decision to engage in therapy can be daunting. However it is the first step in helping you gain a better understanding of yourself and creating a better relationship with yourself. It is easy to put self-care and your own needs second in our busy lives. Therapy is about self-care, whether you want to develop a deeper awareness of yourself, improve relationships, learn coping skills to manage stress, low mood or anxiety or be more confident, taking the first step is always the most difficult. My personal philosophy is to work collaboratively with you, listening to what you want and identify goals that are important to you.
