Announcement icon During the current COVID-19 crisis, you can book phone or videoconference (via a Zoomlink I can send you) sessions with me.
Susie Katharine Hewitt is not currently accepting new clients.
You may suffer from long-term depression or anxiety. You may have had a recent traumatic experience. You may want to look at some of the unhelpful patterns that are repeating in your life. You may have had therapy/counselling before or this maybe your first experience. I work with individuals, couples, families and also run several therapy groups. I have evening and daytime appointments. My particular interests are: working with people touched by adoption; childhood sexual abuse; family issues; neuropsychotherapy; career/work issues; relationship with food issues; addictions; and of course anxiety & depression.
I am a fully qualified and registered psychotherapist (in addition to being a Clinical Supervisor of other Psychotherapists and a Primary Course Tutor for two Pyschotherapy Training Institutes in Manchester + Edinburgh). I have an MSc in Psychotherapy and am UKCP Registered and BACP Accredited. I have been in Private Practice since Nov 2008.
No matter how many qualifications or years of experience I have, finding the right psychotherapist for you is a personal matter. You can book an initial 30 minute assessment with me to see if I fit you and your needs. If I don't fit - no offense will be taken. If you wish to continue you can book in further full-hour sessions.

Susie Katharine Hewitt's Groups

Randomised Closed Psychotherapy Group

This is a fortnightly psychotherapy group that meets on a Wednesday evening for 2 hours. There are a maximum of 6 members. Entry to the Group is by invitation from me (the therapist) following several individual psychotherapy sessions. This is a randomised group - i.e. no particular presenting problem; as opposed to a specifically focused Group - i.e. the Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse Group I run. The contract is for a minimum of 6 Group sessions with no maximum limit, the only caveat is that 2 session notice is given to the Group when an individual wishes to leave.
