About
Counselling and psychotherapy are ways of finding more capacity to understand and live with ourselves. It can be a way to unpack thoughts and feelings which have been hard to talk about, providing a confidential space in which you can speak about your life’s journey, as well as what occupies your thoughts today. This might involve exploring the anxieties, relationships, dreams, and experiences which are significant to you. Counselling and psychotherapy will not give you tools or advice. Instead it will help you find new perspectives about the parts of yourself which may feel hidden, troubling or confusing.
I typically work with 50 minute sessions taking place once- or twice-weekly. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and continue my professional development in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with the Guild of Psychotherapists.
I offer initial sessions to talk about what is bringing you to seek therapy at this time in your life, and to experience how we would work together. I offer face-to-face work from rooms at 10 Southgate Street in central Winchester, and am also working at a distance using a secure, video-based platform - depending on how it feels most helpful to meet.
