Life can feel difficult or overwhelming at times and taking the step to contact a counsellor can feel daunting - it takes courage to ask for help. I am a warm and compassionate counsellor, bringing a decade of experience to my client work. Counselling can offer the space to reflect and explore issues that are troubling you, in a calm, non-judgemental, welcoming and safe environment with a trained professional. Talking with a counsellor who is independent of your situation can help to clarify and make sense of your thoughts and feelings and make choices about how you would like to move forward.
My work is rooted in the Person-centred counselling model, which suggests we all have the resources to flourish and that the therapeutic environment can encourage this process. I also enjoy working with clients to develop self-compassion. Alongside my established private practice, I work with patients, carers and bereaved clients in a hospice setting.
I offer an initial 50 minute session for £25. This gives us the opportunity to explore what has brought you to counselling, what I can offer, and whether we feel we would like to work together. Subsequent 50 minute sessions are £50. I am also a qualified supervisor, offering supervision to both qualified and trainee counsellors.
