More than 25 years of practice working with diverse individuals, couples, and groups across a wide range of diagnoses and issues. I offer short/mid/long-term psychotherapy and EMDR. Most of my clients are experiencing, or have experienced, traumatic life events that they struggle to come to terms with. These may be early life events, or later ones, but they negatively impact on their relationship with themselves and/or others. I offer a relational environment, that is co-created, to address these issues, and support my clients to improve the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural skills to help them to better manage their life.
I am author of ‘Anger, Rage and Relationship: An Empathic Approach to Anger Management’ (2008, Routledge), have been an HE lecturer on university counselling programmes and continue to teach other counsellors and psychotherapists, nationally and internationally about working with anger, rage and shame issues.
I offer a warm, respectful, non-judgemental and confidential relationship with a carefully contracted focus; I am a qualified professional who is insured, supervised and working within two ethical frameworks (UKCP and BACP). Further to my MSc I am a Certified Transactional Analyst (psychotherapy), have an Adv Dip in Counselling, a BSc (hons) and a PGCE.
