I have worked extensively with children, adolescents and parents within local authorities and within the NHS (CAMHS). I can offer both short term or longer term interventions depending on presenting symptoms and also offer consultations and support to parents. I have had experience working with children and young adults up to the age of 25 with a wide variety of difficulties ranging from separation anxiety, low mood and trauma.
I trained as a Child Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic in London. Starting a therapeutic intervention can feel very daunting and anxiety provoking. Feeling comfortable in therapy is therefore very important and the environment needs to feel safe, non-judgemental and caring. I work in a very warm and supportive manner to aid clarity and understanding.
It shouldn’t be that we live our lives in so much distress that it hinders our opportunities for growth. I offer a supportive space for children, young adults and parents to explore difficult issues and allow for meaningful change. I do hope you feel able to get in contact.
