Stepping Stones was founded in 2017 by Rebekah, who has over 25 years of experience in working with people experiencing mental health difficulties within the NHS, initially as a Registered Nurse and later as a Psychotherapist, seeing people from a wide variety of contexts and with a mix of different issues and challenges. The team has grown significantly over the years and is now a well renowned service which is a recognised training placement for Counsellors. As a low-cost service, clients are mainly seen by carefully selected Placement Counsellors who are working under the supervision of In-House Supervisors.
The Stepping Stones team is lead by Rebekah, who is a Psychodynamically trained Psychotherapist, fully Certified EMDR Therapist, and Trauma Therapist. The team consists of highly professional Placement Counsellors, who offer both short and long term therapy, using a range of modalities including person centred, psychodynamic, CBT, integrative and many more.
Our approach to therapy enables each individual client to process and work through thoughts, patterns of behaviour and life challenges, and meet times of crisis with a reflective mind. Exploration of ones more deep rooted issues is also highly possible within this approach. Stepping Stones therapists adhere to ethical frameworks and are highly professional.
