The terminology of therapy is often confusing, but the way I work means that: although whatever has brought you to therapy is manifesting itself in your day to day life, behaviours, thoughts and feelings, I believe that it's roots could be in your past, possibly as far back as early childhood. Perhaps you are feeling anxious, or are experiencing low mood. Maybe you have experienced a trauma, or are dealing with a lot of stress. You might have suffered a loss, or simply feel that something isn't quite right, and that you need some help and support.
I have experience of working with a large variety of issues, both psychological and emotional. I can work on a short term basis, usually fixed on one issue, or in long term fashion, allowing for deep exploration. Typical presentations at therapy include anxiety, depression or low mood, self esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. There are many more.
Starting in therapy can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore with you.
