I'm Stephan, a BACP Registered Member offering individual therapy from a calm, private consulting room in London N19, a short walk from Archway, Tufnell Park, or Upper Holloway. I work with adults who are struggling with low self-worth, grief and loss, or insecurity in relationships. These difficulties often show up as anxiety, depression, self-criticism, people-pleasing, or problems with closeness and aloneness. My approach is integrative and broadly psychodynamic, informed by attachment theory and relational psychotherapy. I offer a regulated and containing presence, attending both to the day-to-day struggles you bring, and to the deeper work of understanding where those difficulties come from.
I am a relatively active therapist. I may offer observations or gentle challenges, while always holding your experience and perspective at the centre of the work. I believe therapy is a transformative commitment, on both sides, to an exploration of what it means for you to inhabit the life that has been given to you, and is still being created by you.
