Many of the people I work with have experienced sexual violence, narcissistic or domestic abuse, and struggle with trust, self-worth, or feeling safe in their own body. Trauma can leave you feeling isolated, confused, or disconnected from yourself — even when you’re functioning on the outside. It can show up as hypervigilance, numbness, or a constant sense of being “on edge.” Therapy can offer a place to slow things down, feel more grounded, and begin healing at a pace that feels safe.
I’m a BACP-registered psychodynamic counsellor with over a decade of specialist trauma experience, including sexual violence, narcissistic and domestic abuse. I work in a trauma-informed, somatic way, paying attention to how trauma shows up in the body — such as anxiety, shutdown, tension, or numbness — as well as in thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
