I recognise that at some point, life can be unwieldy and confusing. Counselling provides you with the opportunity for your deepest concerns to be heard with care, support and respect, in a confidential, safe environment. As your counsellor, I listen without preconceptions and together we explore insights that emerge from this self reflection. We work towards resolving past pain and addressing present issues, leading to growth in control, confidence and optimism. I will facilitate your personal journey towards flourishing in your situation, and hope for the future.
Background experience, abuse, trauma and stress affect us uniquely. As we combine different approaches for uncovering and understanding your pain, collaboratively we work towards addressing debilitating feelings (anxiety, depression, etc.), towards a sense of well-being, recognising your sense of value and purpose.
Through trauma or over time, our personal resources may become stretched and depleted. This can lead to feeling anxious, depressed or overwhelmed. Counselling helps to make sense of your feelings and gain compassionate insight into choosing a more comfortable way of living.
