Ind/couple/ EMDR.Therapist. There is often constant pressure in today's society, which can cause us to feel low, unhappy, anxious,overwhelmed, judged, or stressed. Life events such as loss, financial problems, devoice, retirement, long term illness, work etc. add to that pressure. This can affect our behaviour causing us to withdraw, isolate ourselves or become angry and lash out. These unhealthy behaviours and coping strategies can affect our relationships. Unresolved issues from our past can also resurface particularly trauma. I can help you feel more confident in your ability to cope and gain a more positive sense of self.
To help you achieve this I offer one -one/couple /EMDR therapy in a safe relaxed environment . We can explore a variety of issues and address unrealistic expectations of self and others. Collaboratively we work together to help gain this insight, explore a variety of coping strategies, and hopefully you will gain a positive sense of self.
My philosophy is respect, transparency, and the ability to work in a creative manner offering integrative approaches that are client led either through one-one, or couples. Since 2004 I have worked with a variety of clients (age, religion, culture, sexuality, race, gender, disabilities) with a wide range of issues. Also I have a nursing background.
