Therapy can be a daunting concept, one that is often misunderstood yet with the right connection between therapist and client it can be life changing. As a gestalt psychotherapist, I work with a broad range and depth of issues that any client might bring to the therapy space. I work with you to understand what you need from therapy, why you sought it in the first place and what differences or changes you are seeking. It is of upmost importance that you and I both know why you are in my therapy room and what you hope to achieve from therapy.
My practice is a body based one, which means the focus never excludes the felt sense in the room, yours or mine. I work with the body to discover alongside you more about what you bring to therapy and how your feelings and experiences are also showing up in your body i.e, your posture, stance, gestures, body type, frame, pain, chronic disorders etc
I have 6 years of experience in clinical practice and recently in private healthcare, treating acute psychiatric and mental health issues; including anxiety disorders, depression, personality disorders, OCD, psychosis and the impact of medication on thoughts and emotions. I work relationally to build trust and safety to support your progress in therapy.
