If you're having difficulty coping with a situation, a sudden change or something in your past, if you have no one to talk to or feel no one is listening to you - or if you just feel lost - I can promise that I will offer you support and a safe environment in which to talk, never judging you or giving advice, but will listen attentively, and will do my best both to understand what you're going through and to help you to find your own answers and solutions.

I work with older children (12+) and adults. I have experience of working with stress, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, domestic abuse, relationships, sexuality, grief/loss, behavioural issues and addiction/alcoholism. I have also recently worked voluntarily for two charities counselling young people affected by domestic abuse, and with people in addiction recovery. I work with a person centred foundation, therefore sessions are led by the clients needs as an individual. We work together to find the best way forward. The therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance.

Are you feeling in need of counselling support? Choosing the right counsellor to provide support is not always easy. Reading this information can help you make a decision on the best choice for you. Giving careful attention to both the medium of counselling being offered and the qualifications and experience of your chosen counsellor is an important factor in this process. Life events arise for everyone and leave us feeling unable to manage day to day life and relationships as effectively as we would hope. I provide counselling to help clients achieve resolution of these difficulties in a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space

There are a variety of reasons why people come to counselling or psychotherapy. We all throughout our lives face difficult and challenging times and for some having additional support is all that is needed. I offer a safe place for you to unburden those concerns, voice your fears, anger, or frustration, at your own pace in a confidential, non-judgemental, and relaxed environment. My aim is to help you make sense of your feelings and help you move on in your life. The thought of having therapy can feel a bit daunting at first, fear of the unknown, but it is the first step to moving forward on your journey. One step at a time!

I am a qualified, experienced Jungian/Somatic psychotherapist and Inner Alchemy guide. I work with people approaching or navigating the transformative time of midlife, as well as with fellow healing practitioners and creatives, supporting them in their personal and professional Individuation process; the psychospiritual journey toward wholeness. I weave together the disciplines of Depth Psychology (psyche), Embodiment (soma) and Alchemical Spirituality (soul). My work is oriented toward personal development, so it would be most suitable for you if you have already had or continue having therapy, and are not new to inner work.

Are things in your life feeling overwhelming? Perhaps you have a niggling sense of unease that you can’t ignore. Maybe you are feeling the weight of an old wound, or looking to find your way through a fresh one. Depression, feeling sad, anxiety, stress, grief, bereavement, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, spirituality, gender or sexual identity, including LGBTQIA+ experiences, are just a few of the reasons that you might be seeking psychotherapy. Whatever you are feeling, you are not alone. And whatever brings you to therapy, you are welcome and deserving of the space to talk.

Issues of interest include relational therapy, emotional intelligence, LGBTQI issues and spirituality.
Are you trying to stay afloat and somehow not succeeding at that? Depression, loneliness, anxiety and relationship tension within families are on the rise. With therapy people can make their desired changes in their lives and live more fully in the present by appreciating their gifts and uniqueness. You can resolve personal, relational or professional issues once you understand the role that you play in them and how you can utilise your inner gifts and reveal your authentic self to the world.

Counselling can help with a variety of issues, some of the areas I work with are: anxiety, depression, stress management, bereavement, long term illness, relationship issues, spirituality and loss/change of identity.
I offer a non-judgemental, safe environment to help you understand yourself and your life. Counselling can support you to find your own insights, new ways of being with yourself and others, and work towards healing and freedom. It can be a space to get things off your chest, rest or reset, find perspective and understanding in life and relationships, as well as having someone to really hear and be with you as you share and explore what is difficult. My practice is informed by Buddhist philosophy and meditation, which I have been exploring and supporting others with for over 15 years, emphasising embodied awareness and compassion.

I use a beautiful mix of Psychology, Strategy & Spirituality inside my 90day Empowerment package, designed to help you create rapid change in a short space of time.
I'm Sarah - Therapist & Confidence Coach; spending the past 10 yrs teaching 1000’s of high achievers how to overcome doubt & take more confident, decisive action to live their most unapologetic life. Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a high level manager in the NHS & had my own challenges with imposter syndrome, self-doubt & fell into the comparison trap. I’ve experienced painful past relationships, ‘people pleasing', worked through grief/loss & I’ve overcome significant health challenges at a young age. I use my life lessons as medicine to practice with real understanding & now firmly believe that my softness is my superpower.

Hello. I am Dwayne. Are you requiring support with any of the following: anger management, bereavement, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationships, panic attacks, stress, faith and spirituality? If your answer is "YES", I can help you to explore these difficult thoughts and feelings, and help you move from a place of confusion and feeling lost to a place of clarity and understanding. I can help you make sense of traumatic past experiences and help you to understand its impact on your present . It will be like putting together a jigsaw from all the jumbled up pieces.

Having a background in both Eastern (yoga, meditation, tantra) as well as Western (astrology, tarot) spirituality, I like working creatively to unlock what lies in my clients' unconscious such as through the use of dreamwork or active imagination.
Do you struggle with anxiety, depression or loneliness? Or do you perhaps suffer from low self-esteem, and struggle to find purpose in life? Are your relationships fulfilling for you, or do you struggle to have meaningful and satisfying connections with others? Perhaps you've experienced loss of some kind, and are nursing a broken heart. Whatever it is, life sometimes has a way of throwing us challenges that can make us feel small or inadequate. The important thing is that you desire to take the first step on the path towards healing and self-discovery.

Spirituality Counsellors

What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?

Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.

What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?

There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviours. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.

Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?

Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.

How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?

Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
