Occasionally, we find ourselves experiencing a wide range of difficulties. It could be anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, grief, or just a sense that you do not feel good enough no matter how hard you try. Whatever the reason, I understand that it can feel incredibly isolating and as if no one seems to understand you or how you are feeling. It can reach a point where we begin to recognise that something has got to change; but are just not sure what that is yet. I truly believe that part of the healing power is the ability to untangle your thoughts and feelings freely, without the fear of judgement and being truly heard.
I am a person-centred counsellor and my approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert of 'you' and trust that the therapeutic relationship we build together will enable you to unlock your innate wisdom and inner resources for change. I have considerable experience working with grief and loss, however I work with clients for a wide range of issues.
My aim as your counsellor is to guide you towards a better understanding of you, be with you as you explore beneath the surface and empower you towards a genuine and restorative sense of change. I will sometimes offer to work creatively or use different media to support your understanding. But this will always, only be an option. I will follow your lead.
