Hello! My name is Sophie and I specialise in counselling adolescents and young people (ages 13-30). I believe in, and practice from, a holistic, humanistic approach. Your experience is unique and valid, and there is no one-size-fits-all definition of what is "normal" when it comes to mental health. As we are all unique people, therapy is also not a one-size-fits-all relationship. I will work in a way specifically tailored to you.
The most important element of counselling is the connection you have with your counsellor. I know how important it is for you to feel heard, validated, and aligned with the person you are choosing to trust. I also know how overwhelming and scary it can feel starting therapy. We will only ever go at your own pace and speak about what you want to.
I understand that finding a counsellor you click with is essential for you to open and grow. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or for an informal chat about therapy and what you're looking for.
