Hello! I'm Sophie, a qualified therapist specialising in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, self-esteem, and confidence. With over 7 years of international experience in England, Canada, and the US, I support teenagers and adults to build better relationships with food and their body. Perhaps you're in your 20s or 30s, or maybe you're at school or university, feeling anxious and overwhelmed by all-consuming thoughts about what you've eaten and how you look. My online practice, Food Body Self, offers individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducational workshops and talks.
My therapeutic approach is integrative which involves using a range of evidence-based approaches, such as CBT for Eating Disorders, the Maudsley Model of Anorexia Treatment, Intuitive Eating, and Internal Family Systems. During sessions, I hope to create a safe space that allows you to explore and make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
If you'd like to begin therapy sessions with me, please feel free to schedule a 15-minute introductory call so we can talk through how I can best support you and answer any further questions you might have.
