Announcement icon I am currently offering therapy exclusively via Zoom for as long as physical distancing remains the safer option
A psychodynamic therapist informed by a long-term Buddhist practice, I offer a reflective space that is responsive, genuine and safe. As well as a general practice, I bring specialist training and experience in trauma, sexual violence, gender, sexuality & relationship diversity and LGBTQ+ affirmative practice. Grounded in relational psychoanalysis and deeply informed by somatic psychology, my approach includes exploring the mind-body connection as a path to therapeutic change. I bring an awareness of trauma in its many dimensions, offering a gentle, paced and compassionate approach to processing and easing trauma and its symptoms.
Through collaborative inquiry, together we work towards an emotional and embodied, rather than just intellectual, understanding of the roots of present difficulties. Through this process, places of emotional stuckness can begin to shift, as we become empowered to discover new, more nourishing choices in ways of being and relating - to ourselves and others.
It can take real courage to face the causes of our distress and to entrust these with another person. It's important to find a therapist you feel confidence in and with whom you feel safe. Whether your reasons for seeking therapy feel vague or specific, I welcome you to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation or visit my website for more information.
