Hello, my name is Dr Sonia Marquardt and I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist. I offer individual psychological therapy to young people and adults who are looking for a professional to explore their difficulties with. Mental health affects all of us at some point in our lives. The last few years have been particularly challenging. We may need some external support to manage feelings of stress, loneliness and isolation, panic and worry, and feeling low. I also offer walk and talk therapy, which can be by the river or in Old Deer or Richmond park.

I offer a warm and safe to space to explore what brings you to therapy and can work with you to find coping strategies to manage how you are feeling. My therapeutic style is to be engaging, honest, non-judgemental and compassionate. I believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is the most important aspect of the therapy.

I understand that finding a therapist can be a daunting experience. I offer a free telephone consultation, up to 15 minutes, which allows you to speak a bit about why you are seeking therapy, but also to see if you feel that we would be a good fit for therapy.
