I specialise in complex PTSD, including sexual, emotional and physical abuse. I also have extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders and working with trainee counsellors and couples. I will work with you to explore your issues, and help you understand what changes you can make to feel better about yourself and your relationships. My background of working in the public and voluntary sectors, as well as teaching and student support in further and higher education, has given me over 20 years' experience of working with people who need help with with a range of mental health issues.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy and I specialise in working with: anxiety; depression; panic disorder; relationship issues; addiction; eating disorders; bereavement; loss; childhood sexual abuse and complex PTSD. I am a fully trained Emotion Focused therapist and I will work with you to change feelings that are painful and overwhelming.
I have a non- judgemental approach and I have had a lot of success in working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression and panic disorder and I will work with you to alleviate the symptoms and to identify and deal with the underlying causes that are making you feel unable to cope or to enjoy life.
