Hello How are you feeling today? What’s your day been like? How’s everything? It’s nice isn’t it to get asked these questions? To feel that someone cares that you exist, support you during the journey and feel like you have been heard. Perhaps, you are feeling low, stuck, going through difficult time, anxious, scared, depressed, stressed and not sure what the next step is. Perhaps you are trying to find your own solution. The answer is it’s time to look after yourself and you are in the right place because this is the time that counselling can be significant part of your self-care and self development.

We all get stuck, from time to time. Sometimes it feels like we cannot move forward. It can be frustrating, constraining and painful. Yet there is energy behind every blockage, and looking at it from above – as if from a bridge – can be the first step to unlocking our potential. This is what I aim to offer to my clients. My approach is creative, in that it adapts to individual needs, and culturally sensitive, as it draws on my experience of transit and change. I practise in English and Italian. Face to face and online.

Community Counselling is built on foundations of humanistic therapy. We offer counsellors from different counties and varied modalities within the humanistic approaches. Our ethos is to provide high quality service to our clients and operate on a social enterprise system, which applies a strategy to maximise improvements in the well-being of disadvantaged client groups. ​CC aims to provide a non-judgemental, confidential and supportive environment to promote an atmosphere of trust, enabling clients to bring to the session what is important for them.

Does life sometimes feel like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces not slotting together? I am a great believer that we need to invest in ourselves. When life becomes difficult and those pieces are just not fitting, therapy gives you the opportunity to focus on yourself, make you the priority in an otherwise busy life. I have been through such times and it encouraged me to train as a counsellor then a psychotherapist to help clients with general mental health issues and other life difficulties, such as grief and other losses, addiction, sexuality, relationships, domestic abuse and anger issues.

Life is tough, with situations we never believed we would find ourselves in and despite all our efforts we can end up confused about what to do for the best. The longer our confusion continues the worse we feel about our lives and our ability to make positive decisions and make lasting changes . Its a downward spiral that can make us say and do things we regret but we have no idea how to change it all and take back control . We look to others for guidance because inside we feel powerless and can’t trust our judgement and we have lost our sense of peace and happiness.

One area that I specialise in is autism spectrum disorder. My sessions are autism, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ friendly. I help you to normalise, understand and manage your experiences.

Hello, I'm Lucy, a fully qualified person-centred counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor based in Twyford, near Winchester. I am a registered, accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred), offering professional, experienced, warm and non-judgemental counselling and psychotherapy for clients to explore issues safely and freely. Person-centred therapy is a refreshing therapeutic method; "walking" with you, employing empathic understanding and non-judgemental warmth and acceptance, respecting and trusting your inner resources to support you on your journey.

I focus mostly on identity and intersectional experiences. My main areas of interest and knowledge are queer identities, gender identity (including cis, trans+, enby, and intersex), poly relationships, families with mixed ethnic and/or religious backgrounds, disability/illness (including hidden) and difficult parenting/parented relationships (including single parenting, and queer parenting).
