I specialise in supporting people with eating difficulties including Bulimia, Binge Eating, emotional eating, yo yo dieting, restrictive eating, Anorexia, body-image difficulties, perfectionism, and low-self-esteem. I will work closely with you to create a shared understanding about how these difficulties developed and what is keeping them going. We can work together to help create new ways of relating to food and your body, and to reduce difficult emotions such as shame and feelings of deprivation. Together we can work towards goals that are meaningful to you in a way that feels safe.
With over 10 years’ working in mental health and a Doctoral-level qualification, I am experienced in drawing upon evidence-based approached to provide bespoke assessment, therapy, training, consultation and supervision. In addition to private practice, I continue to work as a psychologist in an NHS Eating Disorder service.
Seeking therapy can often feel exposing and can raise difficult emotions and self-judgments. At your pace, we can explore your difficulties in a way that feels supportive and safe. I would be happy to discuss your current needs, questions and hopes for therapy, in a free 20-minute telephone consultation.
