Whether it be anxiety, depression, self esteem building, confidence issues, communication issues, grief, trauma or many other life stresses, I'm available to help. I can offer you a safe, comfortable, confidential and non judgemental space where you have the freedom to explore the issues that are troubling you and assist you to overcome what's holding you back, causing you pain and distress or simply making you feel stuck in life. I will empower you to see your light and find solutions that are right for you. I take a non directive stance, meaning I will listen non judgementally and support you find the resourses you need.
As a person centred counsellor my counselling sessions are tailored to the client. Whether it be talking about the weather, or sitting in silence for the whole session we can go completely at your pace. I would hope that you would feel comfortable enough to open up however I understand that a trusting relationship needs to be built and prioritised first.
I have a range of experience from working with domestic violence survivers, working with parents, as well as delivering grief counselling. I've also worked within a school as a school counsellor using play and art therapy with children. As a black counsellor I can also help with cultural and identity issues as well as generational trauma and it's effects.
