I am a Clinical Psychologist working with adults with trauma, anxiety, self-criticism, low self-worth, loss and experiences of guilt and shame. I would work with you to understand your individual life situation, the factors that have led to where you are now and support you to find a way forward. I have worked in health services throughout my career specialising in trauma and using Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), EMDR, and Mindfulness based approaches.
The approach I use depends on your needs and goals, as each of the therapy models I practice have something slightly different to offer. You may be looking for a short term piece of work focussed on a specific issue, looking to improve wellbeing in multiple areas of your life, or you may want to explore difficulties you have been experiencing for some time
I believe that understanding more about ourselves and the challenges we experience leads to greater wellbeing in our lives. I also believe we have the capacity to recover and grow from such experiences but that this process is easier when we have the support and guidance of another. That is what I aim to provide in a warm and personalised intervention.
