My passion has always been to help people with empathy and without judgement. I have worked in mental health for 17 years, first as a mental health nurse in the NHS, and now as a Cognitive and Behavioural therapist. I find CBT fits with my practical nature, helping us to understand our thoughts, feelings and behaviours and how this impacts on our view of ourselves, and the world around us. I trained at Bolton University and am accredited with the BABCP. I work with a range of people and issues, including general anxiety, social anxiety, depression, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD. My sub speciality is the treatment of eating disorders such as Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge eating disorder. I work with people of all ages.
I am kind, approachable and will help you feel at ease. I know how it feels to need support, I think most of us do. I believe all of us experience bumps in the road, and sometimes we just need a helping hand to find ourselves again.
