Hi I'm Sharon, a Registered Psychologist and Psychotherapist. I understand that there are times, in life when we may experience difficulties, challenges, loss of self or general angst that we cant quite put our finger on! I offer a safe, relaxed, supportive space to address whatever is on your mind. I have extensive experience, in particular, working with trauma, anxiety, stress/burnout, panic attacks, divorce and loss. Additionally with illness/terminal diagnosis, heart problems, bereavement, bullying and low self esteem. I am passionate about supporting people to heal, grow and thrive or to manage life where they are at.
I specialise in EMDR to work through trauma and difficult experiences, helping develop a calmer, balanced sense of self. I also work with EMDR to help remove subconscious blocks that can hold you back from your full potentiaI or from moving forward. I integrate therapeutic techniques from CBT, REBT, ACT, Schema therapy, when helpful for individual needs.
Acknowledging we may need help can be difficult, as can be taking that first step to find the right person. I understand this and offer a collaborative working relationship based on connection, safety, warmth and trust.
