Hi, my name is Sharon and I help young adults (14+) to heal from family wounds and build stronger relationships.
If you grew up with a parent who struggled with addiction, or without the presence and stability of a loving caregiver, its no surprise adult relationships may feel confusing, overwhelming or unsafe. I help young adults to make sense of their relationship patterns so they can build the kind of relationships they never had modelled - grounded in trust, respect and emotional security.
In therapy we will work together to:
- Understand how early experiences affect current relationships
- Heal from people-pleasing, avoidance or self-blame
- Set boundaries and communicate needs with confidence
- Explore generational cycles and how to break them
- Build emotionally safe, meaningful connections
This work is personal for me.
I was raised without a father and by a mother who struggled with addiction. For years, I wrestled with the emotional aftermath of my upbringing - the confusion, the loneliness and the deep questioning of what it means to feel safe, loved or (and) worthy in relationships.
