I am a UKCP registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and have 23 years experience of working in mental health both within the NHS and tertiary services. I previously trained as a mental health social worker and have extensive experience of working with adults and families who have experienced severe mental health difficulties. Since qualifying as a Psychotherapist, I have specialised in working with people who have personality disorders. I have extensive experience of working with trauma, including complex trauma and PTSD. I have completed a training in group therapy and hold a qualification as a Group Work Practitioner.
I can offer assessments and short term and long term therapy. Although my training is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, I think it is important to adapt an integrative approach dependent on what feels most appropriate for the presenting issues that one brings to therapy. Therefore I draw in a range of therapeutic approaches.
