I am a Clinical Psychologist with 19 years’ experience in the NHS in secondary care adult mental health services in Wiltshire. I am experienced in providing psychological therapy to individuals, couples and families presenting with a wide range of distressing feelings, including mood problems and the impact of childhood trauma. I have a particular interest in anxiety disorder, perinatal difficulties, relationship difficulties and the impact of trauma and feelings of shame. I have professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the regulatory body for Practitioner Psychologists.
I have a First in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology In addition to using third-wave cognitive behavioural therapy (ACT and CFT), I have further training in a range of therapeutic approaches including eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR), emotion regulation and systemic family therapy (SFT).
As science practitioners, clinical psychologists aim to reduce psychological distress and enhance and promote psychological well-being by the systematic application of psychological understandings. I am committed to helping each person that I work with to understand their experiences and make the changes necessary to achieve a positive and fulfilling life.
