I am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor, who has worked in a range of settings and sectors, with a wide range of clients. My way of working involves helping clients to gain increased understanding of the way events in the past continue to influence present circumstances. A specialist in transcultural and inclusive therapy, clients see me for a range of reasons: including: anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed / stuck / confused or being out of sorts for no particular reason. I offer open ended therapy (where the client decides when they are ready to leave counselling) and fixed term sessions according to client need.
I offer once weekly sessions which last for 50 minutes. During this time, I commit to providing a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where issues can be worked through at a pace appropriate to you. I also teach counselling in higher education and am available to see therapists-in-training for therapy.
I welcome clients for an initial consultation where I will collect a basic life history and explain my way of working. This first session can last up to 90 minutes, costs £50 and gives clients an opportunity to ask questions and make sure they feel comfortable with me and my counselling approach, before committing to therapy.
