I am Shaheen, a qualified and experienced therapist working with couples, families and individuals, who would like to deal with life or relationship challenges differently. My approach is systemic, which means looking at issues in the context of relationships, experiences, cultures and situations. For couples or families it's useful for recognising unhelpful patterns and enabling you - between you - to find new ways of managing that fit better with how you would like to be. Whatever challenges you are facing, we can explore what the multiple factors are, that may have contributed, and open up space for new ideas.
I previously worked in the NHS and continue to work in a charity for trauma survivors. I am trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focussed Therapy and have supervised family therapy students. I also offer co-therapy with a male colleague (at a surprisingly affordable price). People find having two therapists' perspectives really helpful, often in unexpected ways.
I see private clients on Fridays, online or in person, in central Glasgow. I try to be as flexible as possible with timings. Please get in touch for more details or to arrange an initial chat about how we can work together.
