We all face difficult times in life, in fact I think we could just say, life is difficult. In counselling you will be thinking with another person about how you manage life’s struggles, how you relate to friends and family and how your present situation may be related to your past experiences. Talking and thinking with another can bring about a new perspective to old problems or worries and help you find new ways of approaching things. in. In my experience even small changes can have a very positive impact. Speaking to someone might feel a bit daunting to begin with but I find people soon settle in.
I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor qualified to work with adults and young people. Approachable and down to earth I provide a non-judgemental safe space where you can talk about whatever is troubling you, no issue is too big or too small, I respond to everyone as a unique individual, valuing diversity and difference.
Initially when you contact me, we would arrange to meet for an assessment session to discuss your needs and to decide if we would like to work together. Once we have agreed to work together, I offer sessions face to face, on-line, we will then meet once a week at the same time and on the same day, sessions last 50 mins.
