Sometimes, life feels a little out of balance. It's important that we find our own answers to the things that concern us about our lives. It's also important that we find a way to do this that suits our preferences, our needs and our styles. It's vital that we find a place where we can consider those questions about our lives and the situations we find ourselves in with patience, compassion and care. Finding a counsellor or psychotherapist to be with us can bring enormous benefit during difficult times.

Clients have explored feelings of anxiety, depression, bullying, isolation, low self esteem to name but a few.
Hello, my name is Kath and I am a person-centred counsellor. Therapy offers a confidential, safe space where you can explore thoughts and feelings. By doing this you give yourself the opportunity to increase your understanding of yourself which in turn enables you to live your life in a more healthy and satisfying way. Not one size fits all so I offer an introductory half hour session so you can decide whether it feels okay to work together. I understand that taking that step to call can be hard, I may not always be able to answer the phone but please do leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.

I have worked with people experiencing low self esteem, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self injury, loss, relationship issues.
Hi, I am Tom. As you are here I presume there things in your life that you feel the need explore. You may be trying to make sense of these thoughts and maybe together we can help you see things more clearly. I believe in working together, in a non-judgemental way, to develop an understanding of your world from your perspective. In doing so, I hope it creates a safe space where you can talk about your thoughts and feelings and allow you to gain a clearer understanding of the situation you are currently experiencing and identify strengths and resources to help you cope in a better way than now.

At different stages in our lives, we encounter difficulties that prevent us from fully enjoying life. It can be anything from anxiety and depression, to the loss of a person (through death or relationship breakdown), to deeply rooted emotional issues (such as low self-esteem or inability to form relationships). Other times, we are unable to fully explain what is troubling us - we just know that something is. Asking for help can be difficult - finding the right kind of help and support can be more challenging. With each person and difficulty being unique, I tailor my approach to suit each client's needs and communication style.

Are you tired of feeling stuck, sad, depressed, or overwhelmed by feelings of low self esteem, trauma and anxiety? Maybe life has thrown an unexpected event at you leaving you unsure how to move forward, tearful, scared or angry? If so you are not alone, nor do you have to cope alone. As a counsellor who cares I can help you move forward as gently and quickly as possible. As one of my clients with complex trauma said 'it wasn’t until working with Helen, that I felt my triggers were finally abated. For the first time time in years I feel calmer, lighter, more solid and grounded in myself. I am so deeply grateful'.

Often we need more time to go deeper in order to understand more complex situations and ourselves better, lack of confidence, self esteem, distress, overwhelm, anxiety grief and fear are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions we face.
I am a client centred therapist and work with what you bring to your session whilst considering your overall direction. My aim is to provide you with warm welcome and safe place that is completely confidential to talk about what you need from your counselling sessions and discuss how best I can help. The holistic approach I use allows you to enter into a journey of self discovery. Using all the information we have and tools such as EMDR (in the case of trauma) a combination of your experience and wellbeing resources such as self compassion, and mindfulness can help restore a sense of motivation, clarity, direction and resolve.

Are you feeling anxious? Depressed? Low self-esteem? I offer psychotherapeutic counselling sessions using talking and creative therapy so you can plant the seeds of awareness and grow change in your life. I (she/her) am a trained integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, practising artist and energy worker. My training covered children, adolescent and adult treatments. This is important because so often when we are looking at our core wounds they are the conflicts of the inner child. I am also trained in Wild Therapy (Ecospsychotherapy) where we can meet outdoors and access the support and connection with nature.

Here are some of the issues I have helped clients explore: depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, loss, anger, family relationships, relationships with partners, self-harm, lack of self esteem, suicidal thoughts, health-related issues, self-development, creativity, mindfulness, spirituality, search for meaning.
If you decide to work with me it will be rather like setting out on a journey together. On that journey I’ll be your fellow traveller, companion and guide. Whether or not your reason for coming to see me is an external situation that’s impacting your life, a key part of our time together will be to explore your inner world. As we explore that world together you may develop greater insight into patterns of thought and behaviour that served you once but now limit you; you may find alternative ways of approaching difficulties; you may discover a way of being in the world that is more in tune with who you truly are.

Self Esteem Counsellors
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum. Equally, to lack confidence or lacking confidence is common amongst teens: child self esteem issues can be helped with self esteem support groups in Brighton and therapists' support dealing with self esteem.

If you're looking for help with self esteem in Brighton or for a Brighton self esteem counsellor, these professionals provide therapy for self esteem. They include self esteem counsellors in Brighton, self esteem psychologists, self esteem psychotherapists and self esteem therapists in Brighton. They can help with counselling for self esteem in Brighton or self esteem counselling and treatment for self esteem.
