I offer both in-person therapy sessions — complete with a very comfortable sofa — and online sessions via video.
Hi, I'm Lori. I became a CBT and EMDR therapist because I understand the impact of anxiety, trauma, and grief. Through my own journey of resilience and hope, I learned that healing is possible. I offer a warm, compassionate space for change and growth.

If you’d like to see whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free online meeting.
People often come to counselling because something inside them is asking for attention — a feeling, a memory, or a sense that life has shifted in a way they can’t quite name. If that resonates with you, I offer a calm, down‑to‑earth space where you can explore what’s going on with someone who is fully present, curious, and on your side. I work with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply or reconnect with parts of life that feel lost or unclear. People who value warmth, honesty, and a down‑to‑earth therapeutic relationship tend to feel comfortable with me.

In my practice, I am deeply passionate about exploring the core issues of identity and belonging, and how these powerful forces shape our sense of self. Life can often feel like a balancing act between who we truly are and who we feel we should be. This means we won't just talk about your experiences, we will safely explore the different parts of who you are, look at the relational patterns and scripts you might be repeating, and bring creative awareness to how you experience these dynamics in the present moment.

I am based in the centre of Paisley and offer therapy sessions in person and online.
Life's challenges can have a profound impact on your ability to cope. In times of struggle you may feel there is a part of you that isn't managing as well, and that you need additional support to elicit change. I strongly believe that it is what has happened to you that impacts you, rather than there being something wrong with you. You might find yourself stuck in unhelpful coping cycles that are no longer working, and are blocking your ability to heal. Managing life's challenges can be a lonely place to navigate. I offer an inclusive space for you to explore challenges and bring a sense of clarity and re-connection.

BOOK your free no obligation telephone or online conversation, and start your wellbeing journey today.
Diary Open for April/ May 2026 appointments. I don’t believe you need an “ideal client” to come to therapy — just a human being who feels they could do with some support. Some come for support with feeling stuck, to help problem solve, others feel overwhelmed, stressed, or low mood. Perhaps you just need space to talk things through with someone who isn’t a friend or family. I offer a relaxed, safe place where you can slow down, be heard, and work together to find a way through. Therapy can be about learning tools, making sense of things, or simply having time to breathe and notice what you need.

Therapy can be intense or complicated but it doesn’t have to be. I offer a safe space with zero judgement. A place where we can explore deeper issues or just figure things out as they come up. Starting therapy is a positive step but might feel difficult. It begins with seeing who would be a good fit. I can offer you a free, no obligation, chat to help with this. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist offering a practical, structured (but not rigid) approach that is tailored to your own goals. We can discuss what’s going on for you at the moment, patterns you may feel stuck in and what can help you respond more positively.

I am offering Zoom and telephone appointments for individual adults, couples and adolescents.
I believe that the most important relationship we will have over our lifetime is the relationship that we have with ourselves. Throughout our lives we can come to conclusions about ourselves and others that cause us to feel insecure with who we are and around others. My job as a therapist and life coach is to provide a talking space for you to figure out what is holding you back from achieving the relationships and lifestyle you deserve. The more we understand who we really are, the easier it becomes to truly and deliberately create the life we desire.

I am a Person Centred therapist working online and in the greater Glasgow area.
My approach is also informed by the fact that many people face injustice in our society on the basis of characteristics such as race, gender, sexuality or disability. I believe it is vital to acknowledge how our social, cultural, political, and economic conditions are inextricably entwined with how we feel living in this society.

FAQ - About Teletherapy
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?
Numerous studies suggest that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. However, further research is needed to determine if online therapy provides the same benefits across all client populations. Individuals with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or those who may benefit from in-person check-ins, like those with eating disorders, may not experience the same level of benefit from online therapy. Nonetheless, the success of online therapy, much like in-person therapy, often hinges on the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client rather than the specific modality of therapy used.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of therapy conducted online?
One of the main advantages of online therapy is its convenience for both clients and therapists. It also allows clients who require specialised therapy to access a wider range of professionals than they could with only in-person sessions. Additionally, online therapy may be a more affordable option in some cases and often offers the same insurance benefits as in-person therapy. However, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who value face-to-face interaction with a therapist. Therapists may find it more challenging to assess clients accurately in an online setting due to reduced nonverbal cues on camera. There is also the increased risk that disruptions caused by external factors, such as technology malfunctions, can hinder the therapy session. For these reasons, many therapists offer a "hybrid" therapeutic approach, alternating between seeing clients in-person and online.

Is online therapy suitable for children and adolescents?
Just like with adults, the accessibility and convenience of online therapy can greatly benefit children and adolescents. In fact, children and adolescents may be more accustomed to navigating online platforms than older adults, making online sessions feel more natural for them. Teens might also be interested in using additional online tools, such as therapist-recommended apps, as an adjunct to online therapy sessions. Apps for developing CBT skills, practicing mindfulness exercises, or tracking thoughts and moods can be helpful for teens receiving therapy. However, it's important to note that not all therapeutic modalities are well-suited to online therapy, especially those used with younger children. For example, play therapy, which helps younger children express their emotions, often requires in-person sessions to be fully effective.

Can I receive prescriptions and medication management with online therapy?
The ability for psychiatrists to prescribe medications through online therapy varies based on the medication and the states where the medical professional and client are located. While many prescribing regulations were relaxed during the COVID-19 pandemic, some states still enforce rules, especially concerning controlled substances, which may mandate an in-person visit before prescribing. Generally, however, medical professionals can prescribe non-controlled substances through online therapy sessions just as they do during in-person sessions.
