I believe that it's important for an individual to find the right counsellor, as one counsellors method may not suit all. I therefore offer my initial consultation at a reduced rate. The initial consultation is not only an opportunity for the counsellors to find out more about the client but also for the client to find out more about the counsellor, giving both the opportunity to discover if a suitable rapport can be built, creating an appropriate environment for counselling to take place.

I currently offer in-person sessions in Edinburgh on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and in Peebles on Fridays.
Therapy is a an act of self-care--giving yourself permission to receive, to be heard, to learn healthy & adaptive ways to be in relationship to self and others. Helping identify and transmute beliefs that no longer serve, from "I'm not good enough" to "I am worthy"; moving from fear to love & acceptance. Offering a wholistic, integrative, and person-centered approach to wellness and empowerment while supporting you to feel and understand your emotions, regulate the nervous system, hold boundaries, explore spirituality, and connect to your authentic self--moving out of your head and grounding into your heart and body.

I offer in-person sessions on Mon/Tue.
Hello and welcome to my page. Sometimes our problems can seem overwhelming and out of control. We may experience unhelpful thinking and act in ways that may be out of character. The hardest part can be reaching out and asking for help. The good news is counselling can benefit so many. I know from personal experience that talking therapy can have positive, long lasting effects. I offer online and sessions in nature.

I can offer this face-to-face.
Bu Therapy works with YOU. You are, after all, the expert with what is going on in your life today. Together we will work on areas that might be affecting your life and what you would like to change. CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) looks at the present rather than the past and identifies negative or maladaptive thinking styles that make you see things differently and out of focus. I will work with you in a collaborative manner so we can correct this “blurred view” of life and bring clarity, focus, and direction back into your life, and “together we can come out of the darkness and into the light".

I currently have both online and face-to-face availability.
Anxiety around intimacy, relationships, or sexual concerns is incredibly common, and the overarching impact that these issues can have on your health and happiness is often underestimated and undervalued. Forming meaningful and honest connections with people including yourself, and feeling empowered to truly accept and project how you feel, good and bad, is challenging with sex and relationships being no exception. Shedding light on the unconscious and bringing new perspectives to your world can be the seed from which healing and personal development grow.

I offer both therapy and extended coaching sessions in Glasgow ( in person) and online.
I work with people in high-pressure roles who are used to holding things together for everyone else - at work, at home, in their business. On the outside you may look ‘fine’ but inside it might feel very different. Perhaps the stress doesn’t ever switch off, decisions keep circling, and there maybe a quiet sense you’ve lost touch with yourself.

I offer in-person (London) and online, individual and relationships therapy.
As a high achiever you are used to success. You work hard, you enjoy work and you have meaningful relationships, but something is missing. You've tried all manner of ways to fill this gap - working more, working harder, prioritising your personal life, your health, your relationships - but it never quite fits. You wonder how you can achieve at work, but not in other areas of your life? Will it always be this exhausting? What if you could ditch the hustle and find a different way to show up in your life, your work, your relationships?

I specialise in supporting adults who are feeling overwhelmed. Stress can happen with a sudden change such as bereavement, job loss or relationship ending. It can also build with an increase in responsibilities. There can be times when life is quiet, giving you time to remember difficult past events. These memories can be troubling and make everyday life difficult. Overwhelm can show up as anxiety, low mood, avoiding things you used to enjoy. Perhaps work is too much now, or you find you are drinking/eating more than usual. Your sleep pattern may have changed. Effective help is here now.
