Life can be hard and does not always run to plan. As a CBT therapist I believe it is my job to help you learn the skills to best support you through these times and beyond. People are all different and perceive the world and their surrounding differently. I would work with you to explore how you view the world and the changes you feel you need to make. You create the goals and I will help you master the tools to achieve them. I have experience of working with a wide range of life issues, across a wide age range.

Hi, my name is Natasha I am an Intuitive Counsellor. I work in guiding and helping you understand your own intuition. When we become aware of our thoughts and behaviors, we start to understand how the mind works. Breathing and grounding into the present moment helps us to connect within, to understand the difference between the voice in our mind and our heart. This allows us to let go of the conditioned mind and find our true authentic self.

Do you ever feel that no matter how well you do, there's an inner voice telling you that you’re not good enough? Does this hold you back from trying new things for fear of making mistakes or appearing incompetent? Or maybe you’re anxious about an upcoming performance or social event, with your mind racing ahead, trying to anticipate all the potential “what ifs”? You’re not alone! In a world that often values being productive, perfect, and constantly busy, many of us struggle with self-criticism, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection from what really matters to us.

Creating a space for personal growth in therapy begins with the development of a safe therapeutic relationship. My approach offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental active listening space where you can take time to explore your experience. This allows us to work together to define areas that may require our attention first and to check in on how you are experiencing your internal and external environment. Doing this helps to form a clearer picture of environmental, emotional, physical, cognitive, and behavioural events in your experience and how you currently manage and respond to them.

Life can be hard! In fact I don't think any of us can navigate life without experiencing difficulties or painful events. There is also a mountain of self help advice out there, that makes it almost impossible to work out what is best for you and your unique circumstances, when you already feel overwhelmed with life. You might feel lost, anxious, unmotivated, frustrated, resentful or a whole heap of conflicting emotions and you don't know where to start. You know how you don't want to feel - but making it happen feels...too hard. I want to help you. I want you to wake up without that bubbling anxiety in your stomach. You matter.

Female Counsellors

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
