Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Counselling in Glasgow
Many of my clients are students or researchers in academia or industry, but I've helped people from diverse backgrounds with various issues, often around self-esteem, OCD, anxiety and related problems, such as procrastination and perfectionism. I do not use any AI tools in my practice. If you are concerned or experience anxiety or conflict around the increasing use of genAI around you, I will do my best to listen, provide a safe space, and help you manage. Systemic problems can't be solved on an individual level, but mental health support and connectedness can help individuals live better meaningful lives in problematic systems.

I provide a supportive space where you can explore what’s on your mind and make sense of the challenges that have brought you to therapy. I work with a wide range of issues, including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and more.

My approach combines practical DBT-informed skills with Hakomi somatic therapy, mindfulness, meditation, parts work, and creative approaches when helpful.
You may be feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions, anxiety, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, or the pressures of work, study, and daily life. Perhaps you feel stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how to cope. I work with adolescents and adults, offering a supportive space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and develop greater self-awareness. Together, we explore what lies beneath the surface while building practical skills to help you respond to life's challenges with more balance, confidence, and choice.

I work from a CBT foundation, integrating approaches such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, ACT, and mindfulness.
It's very hard to suppress your feelings when struggling with a chronic illness that comes along anxiety, perfectionism, shame, anger, and confusion about who you are for yourself, but also in relationships.
Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to understand themselves, the world, others, trying basically everything, from doing their research, listening to podcasts, reaching out to specialists, yet they rely on the same patterns.
Therapy offers a space to look beyond symptoms and explore what may be happening underneath, while developing practical ways of responding to life's challenges.

I work with high functioning adults who appear capable and self assured on the outside, but feel anxious, burnt out, or not enough underneath. Many struggle with attachment anxiety, fear of rejection, people pleasing, or self doubt that shows up most strongly in relationships.
You might find yourself overthinking, worrying someone will pull away, feeling deeply affected by cancelled plans, or swinging between independence and longing for closeness. You may also carry professional pressure and high expectations while quietly feeling exhausted from always holding it together.

I would love to work with you to help understand what is happening for you that is impacting on your mental fitness and getting in the way of you living how you would like to. Therapy is not always a quick fix, there will no doubt be challenges. However, we would be working together to navigate through this difficult time, and that is something that I can offer you.

In therapy, we move at your pace, using grounding techniques, mindfulness, and somatic work to help you feel safer, more in control, and more connected to yourself.
You might be someone who looks like they’re coping—holding things together, supporting others—but inside, you feel anxious, shut down, or stuck in patterns that don’t make sense. You may have a history of childhood abuse, neglect, or sexual trauma, or just a sense that something from the past is still shaping how you feel now. You might struggle with trust, boundaries, or feeling safe in your own body. You want space to understand what’s going on, to feel less overwhelmed or numb, and to start making sense of what you’ve been through. You want to feel more connected to yourself and others—not fixed, but more whole.
