I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and have spent my career in Adult Mental Health services in the NHS, supporting people individually and in groups. My clinical practice aims to foster increased psychological flexibility to support becoming more emotionally open, cognitively flexible, aware in the present moment and actively engaged in a meaningful life. Between life’s busyness and navigating struggles we can become disconnected from ourselves and what matters to us, spending our days trying to cope rather than living. With compassion we can create a space, a gap within the struggle, to heal and reconnect with your life.

Hello and thank you for looking into my profile. It can be challenging finding the right therapist amidst a sea of warm faces and shiny profiles full of experience. However, I firmly believe that like any relationship, the therapeutic one needs to feel like a 'good fit' too. This outlook forms the ethos of my therapy practice as a counselling psychologist where I work in collaboration with a client to bring change through the healing properties of a relationship. At present, I am supporting clients to understand patterns of behaviours from early life that might be impacting adversely on contentment and relationships.

I work with clients (aged 16+) in-person and online.
At the end of the day we're 2 humans sitting together (online/ in-person), with one sharing their thoughts, feelings & emotions. You need to do that within a comfortable trusting therapeutic relationship which I aim to provide. Change can take time but I don’t demand any long-term commitment from clients because there’s no recipe for living that fits all.

I know how daunting this first step can be. Reaching out for help from a stranger can be very nerve-wracking. However, during our time together we will build a trusting and supportive relationship, one that you may find solace in. I work with clients from all backgrounds and I offer support for adults and young people aged 11+. I support clients with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, trauma, relationship breakdowns, bereavement, self-harm, family conflict, women’s cultural issues, eating disorders and anger management. In particular, I am highly experienced in working within the south asian community.

I see clients in-person in Glasgow, in Stepps and also online.
Are you feeling that things have recently become too much or that you keep having the same issues with relationships coming up again and again? Or are you finding you're just struggling to make any decisions, are you feeling exhausted all the time? Or maybe your Doctor has suggested counselling and before you have dismissed the idea? Now feels like a time you are looking to talk to someone? Taking the step to call me and have a free short consultation may be the best thing you do for yourself today.

I offer sessions in person in the G3 and G31 area, or online, for ages 12 and above.
Therapy is an opportunity to get to know yourself better, recognise patterns in your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and unpick which parts you would like to change. The main approach I use is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which involves the use of frameworks or tools to evaluate your own thinking and come to your own conclusions, ideally ones that are more balanced and flexible.

I offer therapy sessions in-person and online via video.
We all need to feel that we are being seen, that our voice is being heard, in safe and empathetic company. If you are in distress, confused or isolated, I will see and hear you as a whole person, not just as an issue or concern. I will support you by holding a space for you to breathe and reflect on worries, anxieties or uncertainties that may be holding you back and explore ways forward to fulfil your potential. Healing can be found in creativity, used as another form of expression when words run out.
