My ideal clients are individuals or couples who feel emotionally or relationally stuck, unsettled, or caught in painful patterns. They may be dealing with anxiety, shame, trauma, loss, intimacy difficulties, trust ruptures, family conflict, or repeated arguments that no longer feel workable. Often they come at a point of rupture or transition, or simply because something doesn’t feel right. They want greater clarity, emotional freedom, stronger boundaries, deeper understanding, and more satisfying ways of relating to themselves and others.

Facing the day with a niggling sense of confusion, unease or sadness will affect everything around you, it limits your ability to engage and really be in the moment. These feelings may be linked to a past event in your life, a situation you are currently in or you may be unclear as to why you feel this way. What is important is that at the centre is you. Often, we know we need to prioritise ourselves better, but maybe we do not know how to, we are unsure what we need and are hesitant to ask for this. Are you eager to find out why you respond the way you do? Why you think the way you do at times?

A warm hello, and welcome to my page!
Finding the right therapist — and taking that first step to book a session — can feel daunting.
There are so many of us out there, each with our own unique skills and qualities. I could list qualifications and modalities, but in truth I believe many types of therapy can be effective. What matters most is the therapeutic relationship — feeling safe, understood, and able to open up.
So take your time, read about me, and trust your gut… it’s normally right!

Hello and Welcome!
Does your mind feel like it never switches off?
Maybe you’re caught in constant chatter in your head, replaying conversations, worrying about what other people think, or stuck in endless “what ifs.” You might overthink every interaction and feel exhausted from trying to hold it all together.
You’re not alone — and things can change.
For a long time, I believed strong people just got on with it. Now I know that real strength comes from being vulnerable, slowing down, and getting to know yourself.
Therapy can help you to understand yourself more deeply and to quiet the noise

Hoarding Counsellors
What is the most effective treatment for hoarding?
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) has been well-studied in the treatment of hoarding. This type of therapy includes changing beliefs surrounding possessions, as well as learning how to discard items and reduce acquisitions. The hoarder may also gain much-needed organizational skills. Another useful therapy may be compassion-focused therapy, which can address emotion regulation and negative self-perception.
How long does therapy for hoarding take?
Although treatment can vary, most people demonstrate improvement after 23 sessions, with some showing improvement after just a few sessions. Researchers have developed a 26-session cognitive behavioral program. People who hoard may need “maintenance” sessions over the years if the problem arises repeatedly.
Are there medications for hoarding?
The more commonly-prescribed medications for hoarding are including antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). This can include drugs such as venlafaxine and paroxetine. And because hoarding disorder is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, medications for OCD, such as clomipramine, may be effective for hoarding as well.
Can hoarding come back after treatment?
Hoarding is a chronic disorder and it can last throughout an individual’s lifetime. Regularly checking in with a psychotherapist can help manage symptoms long-term. A good therapist will help the person learn needed skills including decision-making, organization, and stress reduction. The patient will gain a better perspective and the need to cling to useless items will lessen.
